Autumn Colours

I like autumn, everything is in the process of switching gears. It’s my favourite time of year. The twin celebrations of Hallowe’en and the harvest, it’s all golden.

These snaps show trees winding down in various states of undress, meadow grass turned to hay and pumpkins stockpiled outside the supermarket.

There were squirels everywhere that day, but none of them were at all inclined to pose for me; they were all too greedy, stockpiling food for the winter.

Urban Oddities

Dublin is an old, damp, mossy city. Everywhere you look you are likely to see some vegetation, whether intentionally or not. I took a few pictures today of an old area, full of brick and strange pipes. It’s so mysterious. The plants are trying to claim bits of it back for themselves.
