Last winter, the lovely Cian requested a creeper balaclava. I could not resist this challenge! Here is the result, as photographed recently. I kept some notes about my pattern, but I think I need to refine it a bit more before releasing it on the world.

Kin+Kin
Just completed this fanart featuring the adorable Kin and her evil twin from Goblins. It was mostly inspired by this fascinating interaction between the two.
Valentine’s Day Gaming
This is a custom map I made as a surprise for my boyfriend on Valentine’s day. Click to see it full size, in all its glory!
The game itself is called The Battle for Wesnoth, a turn based strategy game. It’s free and has such beautifully pixeled units. On my map, each player starts out with a castle, and must recruit soldiers to attach the enemy king. You are blocked by a massive heart-shaped lava lake, and must either trek around the edges of it, or risk the narrow stone bridge to cut across it. Much blood-thirsty fun was had that day. đŸ™‚

Akarrian Expansion
This site is for a 2d mmorpg, called Akarrian Expansion. Akarra has charming pixel art, quite complex game mechanics, and a nice community. I tried to capture the spirit of the game by using screenshots of some of the different landscapes and creatures in the header, and snippets of player chat. I think it’s probably the most appealing website I’ve ever made. The design and the content are very intertwined and support each other. Also it was really fun to do!
Update: Akarrian Expansion has come to an end. Visit akarra.com for more information.
